Daily Bulletin 1/19/18

Students: Second Semester schedules will be handed out in Advisory on Friday, Jan 19th and are also viewable in Skyward.  Students who wish to make a schedule change should complete a Schedule Change Request form and turn it in to the counseling office by Thursday, Jan 25th.  Students can check their schedules in Skyward to see if changes have been made.

Students:  The Teen Center is now open due to the overwhelming contributions from our community.

Running Start Information nights coming soon.  Learn about the running start program and how you can earn college credits, tuition free, while in high school.  Attend one of these information presentations.

American Indian Endowed Scholarship (AIES)

AIES provides educational scholarships on a competitive basis to outstanding students with close social and cultural ties to an American Indian tribe or community in Washington State. Recipients are selected using criteria based on academic merit and a commitment to serve the American Indian community in Washington. Scholarship awards come from the interest earnings of an endowment established from funds appropriated by the Washington State Legislature, with matching contributions from private individuals, organizations, and tribes.Applicants must have close social and cultural ties to an American Indian tribe, or an American Indian community, in Washington State. Scholarships

Port Ludlow Amateur Radio Club is offering a $1000 scholarship to a student interested in pursuing an Engineering degree.  This scholarship is open to all graduating students from Quilcene, Chimacum and Port Townsend Schools in 2018. Applications available in the Counseling Office, deadline for applications is Monday April 2, 2018.

STUDENTS - Cancer Unwrapped Teen Writing Contest.  Submission from teens in Washington State grades 9-12 to share their stories about cancer in personal essays of 500 to 2,000 words.  Essays can be about their own experience of a personal diagnosis or about their experience with the diagnosis of a loved one, a schoolmate, or a friend.  Several $1,000 cash prizes available.
