Your child can participate in any of nine fun activities (minimum of one, maximum of three for each student).

All your child needs to do is get pledges for completing their activity. Sponsors can pledge money per item your child completes, such as number of free throws in 20 minutes, or they can give your child a flat fee to support Outdoor Education.

All monies collected must be delivered to the Chimacum Middle School office. Kids can bring cash or checks made out to Chimacum Middle School. Money can be brought in prior to the actual event this Friday or by Monday.

If your child can’t collect their pledges by Monday they can still bring in the money at any time. If we raise more than $2,000 we will celebrate with ice cream (everyone)! And the grade level that raises the most money will get a little something special.

A letter from Mr. Carthum

February 2018

Hello CMS Community,

Wow!  We are halfway through the year.  I believe the older I get, the faster time goes by.  This has been a busy year and we have been measuring student progress as well as addressing attendance and behavioral issues.  The impact has been wonderful. Attendance has improved, behavioral referrals have been cut in half, and we have reduced out of school suspensions drastically. The net result is that we are continuing to improve the climate of the building and guiding and helping our students grow academically.

Principal's Letter to Parents

August 21, 2017

Hello CMS Community,

I want to officially welcome everyone to the 2017-18 school year.  I am truly excited to be seeing your sons and daughters come to Chimacum Middle School and continue their academic journey.  I hope that you are enjoying your summer and getting ready to come back to CMS and grow and learn. For some, it is continuing the journey of being a middle school student and for our 6th grade students it is a time of new beginnings.

This year we have two new teachers at Chimacum Middle School.  Bryon Monohon and Jessica Rushton will be teaching math. Our team of educators and administration are dedicated to working with you, as educational partners, to create opportunities for students to experience success throughout their time at Chimacum Middle School. Every student can do well and achieve when we establish high expectations and work collectively to provide the needed support for students to meet and exceed those expectations.
