A free developmental screening for children ages birth to five years of age who live in the Chimacum School District and are suspected of having developmental delays will be recurring monthly, starting in January 2015. This screening will take place on the the last Wednesday of every month and will be held from 2:30 to 4:00 PM at Chimacum Creek Primary School. Screenings will be made by appointment only. This is not a general kindergarten screening, but is for students with suspected developmental delays.
Children who may have delays will be screened in language, motor, concepts, adaptive self-help, and social-emotional developmental areas to determine if further evaluation is warranted to determine their need for special education services.
