Dear Chimacum Elementary Families,
Welcome to the 2019-20 school year at Chimacum Elementary!
Our priority as a school and district is to increase academic achievement, attendance, and promote a safe and effective learning environment for all students. Our staff is dedicated to achieving these goals and I ask for your support, as full partners in your child’s education, in fulfilling these goals.
The staff at Chimacum Elementary is excited about our new mission, vision and motto:
Mission- use Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math as a foundation for unique and powerful learning experiences rooted in our community.
Vision- grow students who, through powerful community-connected learning experiences, are prepared for life's requirements, challenges, and adventures and empowered to be engaged citizens and creative problem solvers.
Motto-"We grow kids!"
Chimacum Elementary is focused on ensuring that all students reach high academic standards and are engaged in high-quality instruction. Please help us by ensuring your student is well rested, attends school on-time every day, place limits on TV or screen time, and has quiet time each evening to read and/or complete their homework.
The teachers at Chimacum Elementary plan every minute of the school day to teach all that your child needs to learn. Please schedule appointments after school if at all possible, as your child’s academic day is packed with carefully planned instruction.
We need your partnership at Chimacum Elementary! We are actively trying to build our PTA and we need parent support! Please contact me if you are interested in serving on the PTA in any capacity. Another way to connect to our wonderful school is to volunteer in your child’s classroom.
