We tested how much DO is in the water and this is how we did it:

• First get the water sample
• Make sure there are no air bubbles
• Add 8 drops of mang. Sultfate solution
• Add 8 drops of alk. Pot. Iodide azide
• Cap the bottle and mix it
• Let the bottle sit until the solution is below the shoulder of the bottle
• Use 1.0g spoon and add sult. Acid powder
• Cap the bottle and twist it
• Fill the titration tube
• Then fill the titrator with sodium thiosulfate solution
• Fill after zero in case of air bubbles
• Remove the titrator and place it in the titration tube
• Drop 1 drop then swirl the bottle for 3 seconds or so
• Repeat this until the color of the water changes from blue to clear
• Look at the titrator, whatever the # on the titrator is the DO level
