Tolerant and very Tolerant are two of the sensitivities of the bugs. Tolerant means not sensitive to pollution. So if the bug were not sensitive it would be a tolerant bug.
Very tolerant means not sensitive at all to pollution. So if you put a very tolerant bug in a polluted stream it would be fine and not have a problem living in the stream.
