Tannin


Tannin in any well water is from humic acid that is one of the components of acid substances or natural organic matter (NOM ). cleaning filters remove most of the tannins by iexchange using an exchange media. The units we use regenrate with rock salt, (sodium chloride) in the same way softeners function frequently we see. Shallow wells under influence of surface run-off water achieve high levels of tannins turning the water brown during heavy rainy period. Tannin is also the tea brown color in rivers and lakes (as shown in the picture above) tannin can be clay subatance to which can also build up to sediment. Tannins can be found in anyway thier is water in especially in wells.
