2009 Water Quality
Hello we are the film crew. We took the pictures, filmed the movies and edited the movies!!!! It was great. Here is a little taste of what our class did... We tested creeks and rivers in Washington for many things. Here are the things we tested for.

Benthic Macroinvertabrates: The Bug Group [Benthic Macroinvertates] look in the water for the bugs which identifies how much pollution is in the water.

 

Flow rate and Temp. Probes: The Flow Rate test the water for how fast it is moveing. They also test the temp. of the water.

Nitrates and Phosphates: This group test for how much nitrates and Phosphates are in the water.

Do. and Ph LaMotte: This group test the water for Do. and Ph using a kit.

 

Water Hardness: This group tests the water for the hardness.

 

Do. and Ph Probes: This group test the water for Do. and Ph using probes.

 

Dissolved Oxygen: This group tests the water for dissolved oxygen.

 

Turbidity and Conductivity: Turbitity test the water to see how cloudy it is. Conductivity test for how well the water conducts electricy.

Tannins: This team tests for how much tannins are in the water.
