“What is carbon dioxide?” you say, Carbon Dioxide is the air we breathe out or it is the dissolved carbon dioxide gases that fish breathe out in the water. We test the water quality for Carbon Dioxide. If there is too much Carbon Dioxide in the water the fish will die and if there is not enough in the water the underwater plants will die. The fish breath out Carbon Dioxide particles just like us! The plants breath out oxygen and breath in Carbon Dioxide. We went down too the hood canal water shed and tested at Potlatch and Hama hama.During this project we have learned a lot about how we can help our community by testing our water at getting results. We think people should think before they dump /waste in rivers , lakes , streams , or the ocean.
