There was a lot of equipment envolved that we had to use when we tested and we would like to show you what you would need if you wanted to test your own water.

 

Phosphate Regent

Nitrates Reducing Regent

Phosphates Acid

Mixed Acid Regent

2 test tubes

1.0ml Pipet

1 Gram Spoon

Axil Reader

 

These are the steps to test YOUR water for Nitrates:

1.Fill test tube with water being tested to 2.5ml line

2.Put Mixed Acid Regent in test tube until line of water reachs 5ml line

3.Use 1 gram spoon to add one level measure of Nitrate Reducing Regent cap and invert 30-40 times in 1min. Then wait 10min.

4.Mix and remove cap. Insert test tube into the Axil Reader. Match the sample color to the color in the test tube. Record as ppm.

These are the steps to test YOUR water for Phosphates:

1.Fill test tube to 10ml line with sample water.

2.Use the 1.0ml pipet to add Phosphate Acid Regent. Cap and Mix.

3.Use the 0.1g spoon to add one level measure of phosphates reducing regant cap and mix until dissolved wait 5 min.

4.remove cap place into the Nitrate-N and phosphates comparator (3120) with the axail reader (2071) match the sample color to the to a color standard recoured as ppm orthophosphates.
