I was born in what is now SeaTac, Washington. In fact, my parents were activists and helped start the city which now has about 30,00 people. After graduating from Tyee High School, I graduated from The University of Washington and later received a masters of science in educational technology from Walden University.
I have been teaching for 26 years in Washington, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. This is my twelfth year in Chimacum.
I love to ride bikes, play all kinds of sports, and play music. Last year, I went to Washington D.C. With the Chimacum Hiigh School Marching Band, Ireland with the University of Washington Marching Band, and Italy with the
Unexpected Brass Band.
Right now, my major areas of study are: Guided Language Aquisition Design, Bridges Math, CCSS, and the Next Generation Science Standards in the context of Growth Mindset and Visible Learning.
