Michael "Mickey" Nagy is a 1998 Graduate of Chimacum High School, a father of four (4) children (Jozalyn, Lillian, Kaitlyn, Brenden) who all attend Chimacum, and a husband of a wife (Leslie) who works for Chimacum School District as a para-educator. Mickey has lived in Port Hadlock for 26 years and has worked for the Department of the Navy for the past 22 years. Mickey is currently a Project Lead for Towed Array and Handler Systems Logistics, responsible for overseeing sustainment and asset management efforts at Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Keyport, WA. Prior to this Mickey was a Contracting Officer's Representative on Technology Insertion Hardware contracts, responsible for overseeing approximately $2 billion of engineering and production labor as well as procurements of information technology hardware installed onto Naval submarines and surface ships. In this role Mickey assessed the performance of the prime contactor's Program Manager and ensured the technical, cost, and schedule requirements of the contracts were achieved.
Mickey posseses a Masters in Contract Management from the Naval Post Graduate School, a Project Management certificate from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor's in Applied Management from Peninsula College. He is also a current student of the Defense Acquisition University and a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt.
