2/6/21 Advancement of Lead Candidate
We'd like to thank all staff, parents, students, and community members for participating in our district's Superintendent Search. We have selected a lead candidate and are now carrying out extensive background and reference checks. Contract negotiations will follow and we'll hold a remote special meeting with Port Townsend School District on Wednesday, February 24th at 5:00 PM to introduce the new Superintendents in our communities. The top page of our website will hold a Zoom link to the meeting if you'd like to join us.
1/20/21 Seeking Stakeholders to Participate in Superintendent Interviews
The Chimacum School District is seeking community members, parents, students, and staff to join the Stakeholder Group for Superintendent Interviews. Three separate interviews will be conducted on February 1st, 3rd, and 4th, and group members need to be available and commit to all four days.
The Stakeholder Group will be made up of 15 participants and selection will be done by lottery. All interviews will be held remotely on Zoom so Internet technology is required.
Stakeholder Group Interview Schedule
Monday, February 1st – 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Orientation from 11-12:00)
Wednesday, February 3rd – Noon to 2:00 PM
Thursday, February 4th – Noon to 2:00 PM

Application Deadline: Tuesday, January 26
Selected staff members will need to secure a substitute (if needed) to allow for participation.
11/20/20: The Chimacum School Board approved the Superintendent Ideal Profile on November 18, 2020 and the search is on! Superintendent Ideal Profile
11/2/20: Thank you to all who participated in the survey! The survey closed on October 31, 2020. Our next activity will be held November 12. We'll meet with the Port Towsend School District Board of Directors and Human Capital Enterprises to review the "Ideal" Candidate. You are welcome to join the meeting to observe the conversation.
