Open Garden Daze

Garden Daze Flyer

Our school gardens display their beauty and bounty, not just during the school year, but during the summer, too, of course! Please visit your school garden as often as you like during summer break, practicing respect and gratitude for the many species that help the garden thrive, and remembering to harvest gently and responsibly, according to "The Rule of Ten" (only harvest one or two of any item, and only when there are at least 10 more to leave behind).

Along with a cadre of volunteers, Garden Teachers Valerie Randall and Katie Miller will continue to care for the garden throughout the summer and will host "Open Garden Daze" on the first and third Wednesdays of July and August, at Chimacum Creek Primary and Chimacum Elementary school gardens, respectively, from 9-11am. We'd love to include your family for some community gardening time, rain or shine. Please come!

(If you are unable to attend Open Garden Daze, but would like to help out in the school gardens, please email: Valerie_Randall@csd49.org.)
