Garden Work Parties are Back!

Earliest spring greetings to YOU, our venerable school garden allies!

With last week’s snow it’s hard to believe, I know. But perched on the cusp of Spring Equinox after our winter hiatus, we’re excited to get back in the garden with you, kicking off THIS WED, 3/1:

SPRING “OPEN GARDEN” WORK PARTIES

Chimacum Creek Primary School (CCP): EVERY FIRST WED, 2.30-3.30pm (3/1, 4/5, 5/3)

Chimacum Elementary School (CES): EVERY THIRD WED, 2.30-3.30pm (3/15, 4/19, 5/17)

Farmer Katie will host this Wednesday, prioritizing maintenance of our willow dome structure, weeding in the raspberries and preparing a bed for mixed perennials along our new southeastern fence line. (You'll find me back in the CES garden on 3/15.)

We would be tickled to have you visit and help out with jobs too big for all the little hands! No need to RSVP, but please note:

When you come to CCP, please park in the main visitor lot. The bus drivers need to utilize the entire space near the maintenance shed, garden fence, and retention pond during their end-of-day pickup.

Thanks so much! We hope to see you SOON!
