WEATHER DELAY AND SCHOOL CLOSURE INFORMATION 2023-24

Dear Parents,

As we move towards the Winter season, we are preparing for school delays, changes in transportation or even school closures due to increment weather. In such situation, information will be posted on our website, School Facebook pages and on Television. There will be messages sent to parents via phone calls, text messages and emails. These notifications will be sent out as soon as decisions are made.

Please find important information on late start times and alerts that you will receive during any changes to the regular school schedule.

 

 

WEATHER DELAY SCHEDULE: Two hour late start

School start time could be delayed due to inclement weather.  If school is delayed due to inclement weather, we will adhere to the following schedule:

  • Chimacum Creek Primary School         Start: 11:00 AM                     Dismiss: 3:35 PM
  • Chimacum Elementary School              Start: 10:45 AM                      Dismiss: 3:20 PM
  • Chimacum Jr./Sr. High School                Start: 9:40 AM                        Dismiss: 2:20 PM

DISTRICT ALERT: On the website and Facebook pages

"Chimacum Schools are on a WEATHER DELAY SCHEDULE due to inclement weather. There will not be out of district transportation, preschool will be canceled. Evening events, activities and athletics may be canceled.  Each school buildings will update their website by 1:00 PM regarding evening events and activities. Snow route schedules will be located on the Transportation website. "

Our main focus is safety of our students and staff alike and we appreciate your patience and understanding during increment weather conditions. In case of a school closure due to bad weather, the Snow make up days will be May 24th, June 28th, July 1st and 2nd,2024.
